German referee to officiate at Ukraine-Croatia match

A team of German referees will work at the 2018 World Cup qualifier between Ukraine and Croatia, which will be held at the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex in Kyiv on October 9, reads a statement posted on the official website of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU).

The 42-year-old Felix Brych was appointed the main referee. His assistants are Mark Borsch and Stefan Lupp, and the fourth official is Bastian Dankert. An arbitration observer is Manuel Diaz Vega (Spain).

Brych has been an FIFA referee since 2007 and is included in the UEFA Elite category. He officiated at the 2014 Europa League final between Sevilla and Benfica and the 2017 Champions League final between Juventus and Real Madrid. 

The World Cup qualifier between the national teams of Ukraine and Croatia will start at 21.45 Kyiv time on October 9.
