Marlos shows his Ukrainian passport

Brazilian-born midfielder Marlos has become a full-fledged citizen of Ukraine.

The Football Federation of Ukraine posted on Twitter a photo of Shakhtar Donetsk’s player showing his Ukrainian passport.

Previously, the 29-year-old midfielder had only a temporary passport.

Today he will join the Ukraine’s national team in the Albanian city of Shkoder to play against Kosovo in World Cup qualifier.

Ukraine coach Andriy Shevchenko called up Brazilian-born midfielder Marlos for the final two World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo and Croatia just days after the Shakhtar Donetsk player became an Ukrainian citizen.

Marlos moved to Ukraine in 2012 to join Metalist Kharkiv and two years later was transferred to Shakhtar.
