Zhdanov: Ukrainians already got 101 licenses for 2016 Olympics

Ukrainian athletes have already received 101 licenses to participate in the Olympic Games in 2016, and 46 licenses to participate in the Paralympics.
Ukrainian Youth and Sports Minister Ihor Zhdanov said at a briefing on Thursday, Ukrinform reports.
"Less than a year is left to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Today, the preparation of sportsmen to participate in Games sport competitions is a priority task for our ministry,” said Zhdanov.
He also stressed that the selection to participate in the Olympic Games will be held until the end of spring 2016.
"Ukrainian athletes still can wn licenses at international competitions and by performing qualifying standards. The forthcoming competition, where our athletes will compete for the right to participate in the Olympic Games, is the world weightlifting championship, which will begin in Houston (USA) on November 20,” the minister said.
