Ukrainian women’s fencing team defeat Russians in final of World Cup stage

Ukraine women's fencing team has won won the second stage of the World Cup which was held in Orleans, France.
The National Fencing Federation of Ukraine reports.
"On their path to their highest medals, Olha Harlan, Olena Voronina, Olena Kravatska and Halyna Pundyk have defeated teams from Kazakhstan (45:29), China (45:40), Italy (45:39) and in the final - Russia (45:39), taking thus revenge for their defeat in the "golden match" at the World Cup stage in Caracas,Venezuela, which took place three weeks ago," a statement noted.
This victory brings Ukrainians another step closer to obtaining a team license for the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Our fencers face another two stages in Athens, Greece, on January 31, and in Ghent, Belgium, on February 21.
In the individual competition, Olha Harlan became the second best.
