KYIV, July 27 /UKRINFORM/. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych extended his condolences to family members and dear ones of those killed in the Sknyliv air show disaster on July 27, 2002, the president's press office reports.

"A lot of our countrymen suffered from the terrible tragedy in Sknyliv of Lviv region ten years ago. Along with all the people I bow my head in memory of and respect for the victims and extend sincere condolences to their families and dear ones," reads the condolence message.

A reminder that the Sknyliv airshow disaster occurred on July 27, 2002. 77 people were killed, of them 28 children, and over 543 were injured at an airshow in Sknyliv airport near Lviv, Ukraine when a Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft crashed during an aerobatics presentation.
