Bohdan Stupka, a theater and film actor, winner of the Shevchenko Prize, Hero of Ukraine, and artistic director at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, has died at the age of 70.
KYIV, July 23 /UKRINFORM/. Bohdan Stupka, a theater and film actor, winner of the Shevchenko Prize, Hero of Ukraine, and artistic director at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, has died at the age of 70.
According to the staff of the theater, Stupka died at the Feofania hospital in Kyiv after a long illness, LigaBusinessInform reported.
Presidential Adviser Hanna Herman said that President Viktor Yanukovych had already instructed Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to create a committee to organize the funeral of the outstanding actor, which is scheduled for Tuesday, July 24.
Stupka was born in the village of Kulykiv in Lviv region on August 27, 1941.
