National Geographic launches channel's official website in Ukraine

KYIV, April 19 /UKRINFORM/. National Geographic, a television channel broadcasting popular-science films produced by the National Geographic Society (USA), in association with bigmir) net launched the official website of the channel in Ukraine - natgeotv.bigmir.net, AIN.UA reported on Thursday.

"It [the site] will open access of our compatriots to license content. This site continues a global strategy for the development of NGC online communities. In the future, National Geographic Channel and bigmir) net will hold large-scale competitions and special projects for the users," KP Media told AIN.UA.

Oleh Lysenko, bigmir) net editor in chief, said: "Now our readers can receive content about nature, ecology and science from National Geographic -a company that for over a hundred years has opened mysteries of the planet for us".

In turn, Sergio Falcon, Vice President of Digital Media Fox International Channels Europe, also noted that the new partnership meets the global goals of creating digital communities of users around the world.
