1 billion hryvnia to be allocated from budget for development of Resilience Centers

The Ministry of Social Policy's pilot project to develop Resilience Centers in 2026 will operate permanently, with 1 billion hryvnia planned to be allocated from the budget to support it.

According to Ukrinform, this was announced by Denys Uliutin, head of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity.

“For the next year, we plan to allocate UAH 1 billion from the state budget for the development of the Centres and to move from an experimental to a permanent project. This is a social investment in people,” said the Minister.

According to the Ministry of Social Policy, there are currently 326 Resilience Centers operating in Ukraine, with 305 communities involved in the project. The total amount of funding for the first two years exceeded UAH 421.9 million, with another 21 centers opened with the support of businesses and international partners.

By the end of 2025, the Ministry, together with international partners, will implement three new educational initiatives: an online course on the basics of resilience on the Diia.Osvita platform, three-day training sessions for specialists with the support of the Council of Europe Development Bank, as well as training sessions on “Stress-free Parenting” and “Psychosocial Support” from UNICEF.

The next step will include the approval of a state standard for social services aimed at building resilience, as well as the organization of a Resilience Forum to synchronize the efforts of the state, communities, and partners.

As reported, the lead project of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity has been implemented since December 2023 as part of First Lady Olena Zelenska's nationwide mental health program, “How are you?”
