Zelensky awards 226 more Ukrainian defenders, including 52 posthumously

President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded state honors to 226 defenders of Ukraine, 52 of them posthumously.

Presidential decree No. 670/2025 was published on the official website of the head of state, according to Ukrinform.

The document states that the awards were granted for personal bravery shown in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for dedicated fulfillment of military duty.

The honorees received the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi and For Courage, as well as medals For Military Service to Ukraine, Defender of the Fatherland, and For Saved Life.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on August 30, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded 956 service members, including 527 posthumously.
