Finland is preparing a new delivery of humanitarian aid for the regions of Ukraine affected by flooding as a result of the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.

That's according to the Finnish Interior Ministry's website, Ukrinform reports.

As noted, the destruction of the Kakhovka dam in early June led to a situation where the water supply of thousands of Ukrainians was threatened. Ukraine emphasized the need for assistance in the field of water supply, and Finland was able to respond effectively to these requests, the ministry emphasized.

"Finland has sent water purification materials, water containers, pumps and intensive chlorination units to Ukraine to strengthen the country’s water supply. In addition, new shipments of water production materials and wastewater purification equipment are under preparation," the statement said.

Also, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in addition to the announced assistance in the field of water supply, Finland has recently donated generators, ambulances and other vehicles, hospital beds and equipment for the protection of cultural heritage to Ukraine.
