Over 72,000 Ukrainians jabbed against COVID-19 on Feb 8

As many as 72,007 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has said on Facebook.

"Some 21,212 people received their first dose, 31,007 people received their second dose, 688 people received an additional dose, and 19,100 people got a booster shot," the statement said.

Since the launch of the vaccination program in Ukraine, 15,499,218 people have received their first dose, 14,840,450 people have received both doses, 21,563 people have got an additional dose, and 493,303 people have received a booster shot. A total of 30,845,534 doses have been administered in Ukraine so far.

A total of 38,257 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in the country on February 8.
