The number of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are declining in Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said at today’s government meeting.

"The latest data we receive shows that the plateau of morbidity has already been reached in Ukraine. Almost all regions have been recording a decrease in new cases and hospitalizations. However, it is still too early to say that all regions will soon leave the red zone. But the situation has stabilized," Shmyhal said, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

On November 16, Ukraine recorded 18,668 new COVID-19 cases. Since the start of the pandemic, 3,263,417 people in Ukraine have contracted COVID-19, 2,684,584 have recovered, and 78,754 have died.
