Kyiv, 16 regions remain in “red” quarantine zone - health officials

As of November 8, the capital city and 16 regions across Ukraine are in the red zone of epidemiological threat related to the COVID-19 spread, implying the highest level of quarantine curbs.

That’s according to the data provided by the Ministry of Health, Ukrinform reports.

As of November 8, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Volyn, Zaporizhia, and Zhytomyr regions, as well as the city of Kyiv, are included in the red zone of quarantine restrictions.

In the yellow zone remain Zakarpattia and Kirovohrad regions.

The rest of the regions have been assigned to the orange zone of quarantine bans.

The COVID-19 incidence rate in the country, with a designated rate of 75 per 100,000 population, is now at 799 per 100,000 population.

In Kyiv, the rate is 608 per 100,000 population.

The highest incidence rate has been recorded in Sumy (1,301), Zhytomyr (1,047), Odesa (1,054), Kherson (1,155), and Khmelnytsky (1,063) regions.
