Three more regions may move to red zone of COVID-19 restrictions – Liashko

Volyn, Kharkiv and Ternopil regions may move to the red zone of COVID-19 restrictions, according to Health Minister of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.

"Apart from increasing vaccination rates, it is now critical for us to follow quarantine restrictions. Let me remind you that the red level of epidemiological danger have been introduced in sixteen regions. Volyn, Kharkiv and Ternopil regions are at risk," Liashko said at a briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

The official reminded that from November 1, special working groups began to check and monitor how anti-epidemic norms and measures are observed in the regions in COVID-19 red zone. Among members of these groups are representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Regional Development, the National Police and the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

As Ukrinform reported, as of November 3, Kyiv and 15 regions remained in the red zone of epidemiological danger: Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv regions and the city of Kyiv.
