President’s Office: COVID-19 situation is very tense in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk regions

Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions are currently facing a very difficult situation in fighting against the spread of COVID-19.

Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said this at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Odesa, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Now we have very tense and difficult situation in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk region, previously Kherson as well, but now it has stabilized," he said.

Tymoshenko explained that Kherson region received additional beds for COVID-19 patients after the deployment of a mobile hospital of the State Emergency Service.

At the same time, he assured that the situation with the stocks of oxygen for COVID patients is under control in every region.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 26,870 new COVID-19 cases on October 28.
