Head of UCC in Ontario gets state award from President of Ukraine

Taras Bahriy, Head of the Ontario Provincial Council of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC), has been awarded a state order for significant personal contribution to the volunteer movement and active charity.
According to Ukrinform, the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"For significant personal contribution to the development of the volunteer movement, active charitable and humanistic activities, Ambassador Andriy Shevchenko presented a state award of the President of Ukraine - the Order of Merit of the III degree to Taras Bahriy," the report says.
It is noted that Taras Bahriy headed the Ukrainian Canadian Congress in Toronto from 2014 to 2020, and is now president of UCC Ontario Provincial Council.
