Ukraine reports 23,785 new COVID-19 cases

Ukraine has recorded 23,785 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"Some 23,785 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 1,800 cases in children and 391 cases in healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on October 21, 2021," the report reads.

According to the report, 614 coronavirus-related deaths, 5,141 hospital admissions, and 8,530 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on October 21.

As many as 2,725,385 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,361,365 have recovered, and 63,003 have died since the pandemic began.

The largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Lviv region (1,647), Dnipropetrovsk region (1,641), Odesa region (1,484), Zaporizhia region (1,391), and Kyiv (1,323).

Some 22,415 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Ukraine on October 20.
