Ukraine reports 15,908 new COVID-19 cases

Ukraine has recorded 15,908 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

"Some 15,908 new confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 1,477 cases among children and 298 cases among healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on October 8, 2021," the Health Ministry of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

According to the report, 250 coronavirus-related deaths, 3,571 hospitalizations, and 5,364 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on October 8.

As many as 2,529,913 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,287,846 have recovered, and 58,331 have died since the pandemic began.

The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Odesa region (1,310), Dnipropetrovsk region (1,291), Lviv region (1,177), Donetsk region (1,080), and Kharkiv region (984).
