The Cabinet of Ministers will allocate an additional UAH 400 million to equip hospital beds with oxygen supply.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting on Wednesday, according to Ukrinform.

“Given the rapid spread of COVID-19 and a rising load on hospitals, we continue strengthening the healthcare system. By redistributing budget expenditures, we are directing almost UAH 400 million of additional funds to provide [hospital] bed capacity with centralized oxygen supply,” Shmyhal said.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 9,666 new COVID-19 cases on September 28.

Since the pandemic began, 2,411,622 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,251,352 have recovered, and 56,070 have died.
