Ukraine reports 9,666 new COVID-19 cases

Ukraine has recorded 9,666 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"Some 9,666 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 953 cases among children and 204 cases among healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on September 28, 2021," the report reads.

According to the report, 217 coronavirus-related deaths, 2,855 hospital admissions, 3,281 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on September 28.

As many as 2,411,622 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,251,352 have recovered, and 56,070 have died since the pandemic began.

The largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kharkiv region (976), Dnipropetrovsk region (787), Donetsk region (699), Odesa region (662), and Zaporizhia region (592).

Some 6,552 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine on September 27.
