Ukraine reports 6,234 new COVID-19 cases

Ukraine has recorded 6,234 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. 

"Some 6,234 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 689 cases among children and 89 cases among healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on September 17, 2021," the Health Ministry of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

The largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kharkiv region (761), Lviv region (585), Dnipropetrovsk region (434), Odesa region (399), and Kyiv city (416).

According to the report, 79 coronavirus-related deaths, 1,719 hospitalizations, and 1,763 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on September 17.

As many as 2,344,398 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,230,306 have recovered, and 54,829 have died since the pandemic began. A total of 12,448,211 PCR tests have been performed.
