Poll: More than 50% of Ukrainians do not support mandatory COVID-19 vaccination

More than 50% of Ukrainians do not support the idea of introducing compulsory vaccination against COVID-19 for the entire adult population of the country.

This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation jointly with the Center for Political Sociology on August 14-24, 2021, Ukrinform reports.

Thus, 51.6% of respondents said they do not support the introduction of mandatory vaccination for the entire adult population and only 23.4% support this idea.

At the same time, 50.2% of respondents said they are in favor of compulsory COVID-19 vaccination for all health workers (28.9% - do not support it); 42.1% - for educators (34% - do not support); 39.6% - for servicepersons and law enforcement officers (33.7% - do not support).

A total of 2,001 respondents were polled throughout Ukraine (except for the temporarily occupied territories). The sample is representative of such indicators as gender, age, and place of residence. The poll’s margin of error does not exceed 2.2%.
