The State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine has joined Microsoft's Government Security Program (GSP) in the field of digital transformation and cybersecurity, Ukrinform reports, referring to the state service’s website.

“The Government Security Program (GSP) is designed by Microsoft to build trust through the transparency of Microsoft technology. It helps governments and international organizations protect themselves and their citizens. GSP improves the sphere of information security by providing [participants with] the confidential security information, products and services of Microsoft, information on Internet security, information on possible security threats, as well as trainings and guidance on mitigating cyber attacks across the country,” reads the report.

The signing of the agreement will ensure cooperation in the field of cyber security, information about best practices and standards of the world's leading countries, including the United States, as well as create favorable conditions for strengthening public-private partnerships.

"Like other countries, Ukraine is in the process of digitalization. We create convenient modern services that are available to every citizen at any time and in any place. Therefore, our state now faces an extremely important task - to ensure the security of these processes in terms of protection against cyber threats. It is very important for us to study the experience of other countries, the approaches and technologies they use. That is why the information we can get from our American partners with Microsoft is extremely important,” Head of the State Service of Special Communication Yuriy Shchyhol said at the meeting with Microsoft representatives.
