Almost 51,000 people get COVID-19 shots in Ukraine on Aug 15

A total of 51,068 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on Sunday, August 15, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"As many as 51,068 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on August 15, 2021. Some 31,675 people received their first dose, and 19,393 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 1,009 mobile vaccination teams, 1,009 vaccination sites, and 346 vaccination centres were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 7,460,766 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 4,722,693 people receiving their first dose and 2,738,073 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Some 76,148 people received COVID-19 shots in Ukraine on August 14.
