About 160,000 people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on Aug 4

A total of 159,121 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on August 4, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has reported on Facebook.

"On August 4, 159,121 Ukrainians were vaccinated against COVID-19. Some 95,690 people received their first dose, and 63,431 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 880 mobile vaccination teams, 2,667 vaccination sites, and 281 vaccination centres were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 6,070,323 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 3,855,093 people receiving their first dose and 2,215,230 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Some 1,052 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine on August 4.

As Ukrinform reported, more than 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, donated by Denmark, arrived in Ukraine on August 4.
