Over 125,000 people get COVID-19 jabs in Ukraine on Aug 2

A total of 125,161 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on Monday, August 2, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"As many as 125,161 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on August 2, 2021. Some 70,344 people received their first dose, and 54,817 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 751 mobile vaccination teams, 2,174 vaccination sites, and 251 vaccination centres were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 5,757,944 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 3,669,511 people receiving their first dose and 2,088,433 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Some 827 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine on August 2.
