COVID-certificate may be introduced in Ukraine in case of another lockdown – health ministry
That’s according to Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin, who spoke in an interview with the Ukrayinska Pravda outlet, Ukrinform reports.
"The main benefit for those vaccinated is that they are protected. On the other hand, we understand and we see from other countries that vaccinated persons enjoy additional benefits or simplified access to certain services or, say, when attending public events. The main idea applied in other countries, which Ukraine is likely to use, is to introduce as widely as possible an internal digital certificate. It should become a conditional pass," the senior health official said.
Now such certificates are only being tested, Kuzin noted, adding that so far no details are available on how the QR code will work at various levels of anti-epidemic restrictions.
“We will consider it after the testing is complete. It will be a QR code that will prove its holder has undergone vaccination, already recovered, or received a negative PCR or antigen test result,” Kuzin said.
As Ukrinform wrote earlier, over the past day, on July 28, Ukraine reported 846 new COVID-19 cases.
