The provision of 2 million doses of Moderna vaccine to Ukraine contributes to U.S. efforts to defeat the global COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said.

“The United States donated two million doses of the Moderna vaccine to Ukraine. This step furthers the U.S. commitment to defeating the global COVID-19 pandemic,” Blinken posted on Twitter.

On July 18, 2 million doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine were delivered to Ukraine via the COVAX Facility. The doses are part of President Joe Biden's promise to share doses of U.S. vaccine with other countries around the world, via COVAX or directly.
