Ukraine reports 591 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine recorded 591 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,244,196.
"Some 591 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 41 children and nine health workers) were recorded in Ukraine on July 16, 2021," the Health Ministry of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
As noted, 16 coronavirus-related deaths, 438 hospitalizations, and 676 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on July 16.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,244,196 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,180,957 have recovered and 52,718 have died.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kyiv city (171), Odesa region (60), Dnipropetrovsk region (40), Kharkiv region (35), and Kyiv region (33).
