Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova and Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Juri Ratas have discussed the issues of developing international cooperation and supporting reforms, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

"Large-scale reforms are underway in the country. We have created an effective triad of anti-corruption bodies, which we strive to make more powerful and effective. The prosecutor's office has completed the main stage of staff replacement. Judicial reform is topical now, on which both justice and the country's investment climate depend. That is why we are glad to have business contacts and exchange of experience with the Estonian legislative bodies, because parliaments are the engines of change in the states,” Venediktova said.

The parties discussed issues of security and peace, in particular in eastern Ukraine.

Ratas and Venediktova also discussed the development of digitalization and cybersecurity. Venediktova noted that Ukrainian law enforcers, together with European colleagues, have successfully exposed large-scale fraudulent schemes and hacker groups that attack information systems and users around the world.
