Over 701,000 biometric passports issued in Ukraine this year

As many as 701,032 biometric foreign passports have been issued in Ukraine since the beginning of this year, the press service of the State Migration Service has reported on Facebook.
"In total, 567,942 ID cards and 701,032 foreign passports have been issued since the beginning of 2021," the report reads.
It notes that more than 178,000 foreign passports and more than 116,000 ID cards were issued in May alone.
Chairman of the State Migration Service Maksym Sokoliuk said on May 18 that the State Migration Service of Ukraine had already issued more than six million ID cards and more than 17 million biometric passports.
