President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda signed a joint declaration of Warsaw's support for Kyiv's European aspirations.

The document was signed after the presidents’ meeting in Warsaw on May 3, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Our bilateral meeting today ended with the signing of a joint declaration on Ukraine’s European perspective, that is, membership of the EU. Poland has always supported Ukraine on this issue,” Duda said at a joint briefing with Zelensky.

The Polish president added that he intends to visit Kyiv in August this year to discuss "important issues of the European and transatlantic future of Ukraine."

As reported, on May 3, the presidents of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia met in Warsaw to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the 3 May Constitution. The presidents of the five countries signed a joint declaration, which emphasizes that the solidarity of nations under current threats to common security is one of the cornerstones of peace, stability, development, prosperity and resilience.
