Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko said this in a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent during his visit to Turkey.
“There are strong relations between Ukraine and Turkey now. We are interested in adopting the experience of how the tourism industry has developed since the 70s; it makes up a significant share of the budget and is constantly evolving. The conditions are improving; the algorithm of work is changing, which also increases the average bill of a tourist. Effective mechanisms are used, thanks to which, for example, tourists from Britain are reoriented from traditional Spain to Turkey,” Tkachenko said.
According to the minister, since the climate of Ukraine differs from that of Turkey, attention in our country is paid to the development of tourism routes.
Tkachenko noted that prospects for further cooperation in the field of culture and history were outlined during his visit to Turkey.
In addition, the parties discussed the creation of conditions for attracting investors, and studying the experience of Turkey in this matter. In particular, the development of Khortytsia as a tourist and recreational facility was discussed.
