Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) will continue operating regular and charter flights to Turkey amidst the local lockdown, announced to last from April 29 to May 17, 2021, the airline's press service reports.

The country has introduced certification of safe tourism, which will provide citizens of Ukraine an opportunity to go on vacation during the lockdown.

Therefore, hotel stay will remain unchanged for passengers of UIA charter flights as per the selected tour. Passengers of regular flights who travel to Turkey for the purpose of individual tourism should check quarantine restrictions more thoroughly.

The airline reports that there has been no increase in passenger requests to cancel flights or postpone the date of departure to Turkish cities. The air carrier notes the dynamics of sales growth for relevant destinations due to the upcoming May holidays in Ukraine.

As reported, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced a full lockdown from April 29 to May 17 to fight a surging third wave of coronavirus infections.
