This week Ukraine expects to receive a batch of 367,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which will arrive under the COVAX initiative.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Last week we received 117,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, this week 367,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine are to arrive in Ukraine. That is, the total number of vaccines delivered by the end of the week will exceed 1.1 million doses,” said Shmyhal.

He added that the supplies of the coronavirus vaccines are expected to grow in May, which will accelerate the vaccination campaign.

As reported, on April 20, 15,042 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against COVID-19. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 477,833 people have been vaccinated, including five people that have been fully vaccinated after receiving two doses.
