Laputina says about lack of funding for Ministry for Veterans Affairs for 2021

Minister for Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina has said that there is lack of funding for the ministry for the current year.

She said this during an hour of questions to the Government held in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The current budget of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs is very small for all projects. That is why we are currently developing draft amendments to the budget," Laputina said.

She called on MPs to support the budget increase for the ministry, because "it is very difficult to implement a policy to protect veterans with such a budget."

As reported, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs at the state level is initiating the establishment of the Institute of Veterans Ombudsman.
