Kyiv reports 846 new coronavirus cases

Kyiv has confirmed 846 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total to 114,369, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“Some 846 new coronavirus patients have been registered in Kyiv over the past day. Twenty-six people have died. In total, 2,003 lethal cases from the virus have been recorded in the capital during the pandemic period,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Klitschko, among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 483 women aged 18-89 years; 10 girls aged 1-15 years; 339 men aged 18-88 years; 14 boys aged 2-15 years old.

Some 567 people have recovered in Kyiv over the course of the past day. In total, 40,921 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported by Ukrinform, a total of 1,083,585 coronavirus cases were recorded in Ukraine on January 5, including 5,334 new COVID-19 cases registered in the past 24 hours.
