Ukraine discusses with Turkey possibility of joint creation of launch vehicles

Ukrinform
Ukraine is discussing with Turkey the possibility of commercializing the missile industry for the joint creation of launch vehicles so that they can be launched from the territory of third countries.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky said this in an interview with Radio Svoboda, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, Ukraine is working under the international project "Antares" - "this is actually the supply of the first stages for American launch vehicles."

“These are small orders so far. But we are now looking for serious partners, including negotiating with the Republic of Turkey on the possibility of commercializing the missile industry in terms of joint creation of launch vehicles so that we can set them off from third countries, since neither our side nor the Turkish one can provide a normal place for placing a launch-vehicle,” Urusky said.

The official noted that Ukraine should eventually find its place in the international division in such high-tech industries as aviation and rocket and space.
