Crimea, city of Sevastopol report 282 new coronavirus cases

Over the past day, 282 new coronavirus cases and seven deaths from COVID-19 were registered in the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

 “In Crimea, 282 coronavirus cases were registered over the past day (58 cases in the city of Sevastopol and 224 cases in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea),” the Crimean Human Rights Group posted on Facebook.

The occupying power also reported seven new deaths from COVID-19 - three people died in Sevastopol and four in Crimea.

In total, it has been known about 17,753 coronavirus cases and 351 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the Crimean Human Rights Group sources, the healthcare system of the occupied Crimea significantly underestimates statistics of COVID-19 rate and mortality on the peninsula.
