Mortality rate from COVID-19 in Ukraine totals 1.8% - prime minister

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the mortality rate from COVID-19 in Ukraine is 1.8%.

"We have one of the lowest [mortality rates from COVID-19] in Europe - 1.8%. This is the same rate as in Germany. In the UK, for example, it is 4.3%, in Sweden - 4.4%, in Spain - 3%," Shmyhal said during Government Question Hour meeting held in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As reported, Ukraine confirmed 9,721 new coronavirus cases on November 5, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 440,188.
