Kharkiv, Kyiv remain leaders in number of daily COVID-19 cases

The highest number of new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours has been registered in four regions and Kyiv city, according to Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.
"Over the past day, the highest number of confirmed cases has been registered in Kharkiv region – 487 cases, including in Kharkiv city- 361 cases, Kyiv city - 355 cases, Poltava region - 305 cases, Khmelnytskyi region - 295 cases, and Odesa region - 292 cases,” Stepanov said at a press briefing on October 6, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
As reported by Ukrinform, some 234,584 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine as of October 6, including 4,348 new cases recorded on October 5.
