Health Ministry launches platform to coordinate international technical assistance

The Health Ministry has established a platform for coordinating international technical assistance to develop cooperation with international donor organizations, according to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“On Monday, July 20, a sectoral working group of the Health Ministry held the first meeting with representatives of international organizations providing health assistance to Ukraine. Thus, the Health Ministry’s platform for coordinating international technical assistance has been established," reads the report.

According to Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov, the sectoral working group held its founding meeting. The main task of the group is developing cooperation between the Health Ministry and international community, ensuring coordination of action plans of the Health Ministry with plans of donor organizations, and monitoring sectoral reforms and the role of donor organizations.

The co-chairs of the sectoral working group were Ihor Ivashchenko, Deputy Health Minister of Ukraine for European Integration and WHO Representative in Ukraine, Dr. Jarno Habicht.
