Ukraine’s population decreases by over 100,000 over five months of this year

In January-May 2020, the population of Ukraine decreased by 116.7 thousand people.
This was said in a report of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine published on July 20.
"According to estimates, as of June 1, 2020, the population of Ukraine was 41,785,8 thousand people. During January-May 2020, the population decreased by 116.7 thousand people. The excess of the number of deaths over the number of live births remains significant: 48 live births per 100 deaths," the report says.
