The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended resolution No. 392 to change the criteria for determining the countries of the "red zone." In particular, the number of active coronavirus patients per 100,000 population was changed from 40 to 55.

The relevant decision was made at the Cabinet’s meeting on July 15, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"To establish that countries with high COVID-19 rate are the countries where the number of active COVID-19 cases exceeds 55 people per 100,000 population. Previously, this figure was 40. We set it when the number of active patients in the country was 37 per 100,000 population. Now the number is 62," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said.

As reported, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine published a list of countries that are classified as "red zone" and "green zone" in terms of COVID-19 rate. According to the decision of the Government of Ukraine, the countries with a significant coronavirus infection rate are the countries with more than 40 active COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population.

The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of June 12, 2020 No. 480 stipulates that a person, who comes to Ukraine from a country with a significant spread of COVID-19, is required to self-isolate.
