Health Ministry establishes department to assess quality of health care services

“We are reforming the Health Ministry, and now the full structure of the Health Ministry will have a full-fledged Medical Services Quality Assessment Department. The department has structural divisions that will be involved in the process of assessing the quality of health care service. These are the department of medical care quality control, the department of medical services’ results and efficiency, and the department for control over professional activity standards in the healthcare,” she said at a briefing on July 7, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In addition, the Health Ministry has resumed the work of the clinical and expert central commission. Mykytchak stressed that the Health Ministry is working on new regulations so that every patient feels protected and that every health care institution provides high quality medical care.
