Health Ministry creates special group to coordinate international technical assistance
Deputy Health Minister for European Integration Ihor Ivashchenko stated this at a briefing on July 6, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“One of the important aspects of the Health Ministry is the coordination of international technical assistance in the healthcare sector. The Health Ministry is currently working on a three-level model for coordinating international technical assistance. This model provides for the coordination of all donor projects both at the level of executors and at the level of the Health Ministry, as well as at the level of the Cabinet of Ministers. To this purpose, a sectoral working group on the healthcare is being set up at the Ministry of Health, which will include representatives of the Health Ministry, the National Health Insurance Fund, the state-owned enterprise State Expert Center, the state-owned enterprise E-Health, and the state-owned enterprise Medical Procurement,” said Ivashchenko.
In addition, representatives of the WHO, the United Nations, the World Bank, various associations, as well as representatives of embassies and international partners will be involved.
He added that tasks of the sectoral working group also provide for the establishment of thematic groups with the participation of delegated representatives of agencies, which will determine the activities, as well as attract the necessary investment.
