Coronavirus cases among medical workers in Ukraine exceed 6,000

As of June 22, coronavirus cases among health workers in Ukraine grew to 6,046.

Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated this at a briefing on June 22, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"A total of 37,241 people have fallen ill during the entire period of the pandemic, including 2,735 children and 6,046 healthcare workers," Stepanov said.

Some 681 people have contracted COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, including 45 children and 48 healthcare workers. Some 138 people have been taken to hospitals.

According to the Public Health Center, 3,657 healthcare workers have recovered from the disease.

In total, Ukraine has conducted 7,831 tests over the past 24 hours, including 6,131 PCR tests and 1,700 ELISA tests.
