The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) has thanked local deputies and ministers for joining the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day, the day of the Ukrainian national embroidered shirt.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress wrote about this on its Twitter account.

“The UCC sincerely thanks Prime Minister Trudeau, Leader of the Opposition Scheer, Ministers and all Members of Parliament for participating in our Vyshyvanka Day Campaign! Proud of the strong and enduring ties between the Canadian and Ukrainian people!” reads the report.

It notes that thirty Canadian ministers and MPs from various parties joined the celebration.

A reminder that Ukrainians marked the Vyshyvanka Day on May 21. The holiday is traditionally celebrated on the third Thursday of May.
