Bukovel resort reopens after lockdown

The Bukovel ski resort in the Carpathians has resumed work for visitors from May 15, the resort's press service has reported on Facebook.

"We are opening the resort area to visitors!" the report reads.

It notes that tomorrow Bukovel will open lift No. 2, which will allow tourists to enjoy the views of the Carpathian Mountains. Catering establishments will service tourists in the outdoor dining area.

The Bukovel ski resort closed on March 25 due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Bukovel is the largest ski resort in Ukraine, part of which (lifts, hotels, land) belongs to the state. It is located near the village of Polianytsia, Yaremche City Council, at the foot of Mount Bukovel at an altitude of 920 meters above sea level. The winter season here can last from November to April.
