Ukraine reports 14,710 coronavirus cases

"Some 515 persons have fallen ill over the past day, including 49 children and 96 healthcare workers,” Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said at a briefing on May 9, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to him, 198 people were hospitalized over the past day. In addition, 15 deaths and 203 recoveries were recorded.

Stepanov added that 7,938 PCR tests were conducted on the previous day.

The largest number of coronavirus cases over the past day was reported in Chernivtsi region (82), Kharkiv region (50), and Kyiv city (50).

“In total, 14,710 people have been infected with coronavirus during the entire period of pandemic, including 1,026 children and 2,754 health workers. There have been recorded 2,909 recoveries and 376 deaths,” Stepanov said.
